Practice mindfulness through walking, jogging & running.
About us: Slow Mode Running Club is an interest group of walkers and runners in the Baton Rouge area meeting weekly to practice mindfulness through walking/running while discussing perspectives. Our collective bright shirts serve as a physical representation of our intention—our aim to invite others to embrace community, sharpen social/emotional skills, increase mindfulness, maintain physical fitness routines, and achieve personal goals. We invite you to join us in spreading community bonds and practicing healthy living!
Physical activity is important to our health, but is also potentially hazardous. Everyone health and physical capacity is different. Therefore, it is necessary to get evaluated by your medical doctor to determine if you are medically fit to walk and run in regular endurance events.
"It concerns us to know the purposes we seek in life, for then, like archers aiming at a definite mark, we shall be more likely to attain what we want." – Aristotle
Through mindfulness, we attempt to find and maintain the more worthwhile paths to our destiny.
